CLICKSTREAM TECHNOLOGIES TRANSFORMS MARKET RESEARCH

Customized approach analyzes real software usage

August 8, 2006 (Berkeley, CA) – Software companies have a new best friend: three-year-old startup ClickStream Technologies has removed the guesswork from software usage analysis and some of today’s biggest software manufacturers are lining up to see the results. Computer users now opt in to install ClickSight™, which anonymously reports user feedback to generate a holistic, in-depth view of application usage across entire computer systems. By aggregating and analyzing the data it collects, ClickStream provides invaluable user feedback, leading to higher productivity, profits, and customer satisfaction.

ClickSight™ – a technology developed by founder and CEO Cameron Turner – gathers data about the use of applications installed on the computer by tracking the clicks of thousands of users. Because ClickSight provides a view of all application usage, ClickStream’s clients also gain valuable information about the use of their competitors’ applications, as well as installed but unused elements of applications. Leading software developers are using ClickSight to improve their software – making it more accessible and functional for users. In addition, using ClickSight improves the company’s bottom line by increasing profits through eliminating inefficiencies in the development process and identifying new markets.

“We are delighted to provide software users with a mechanism to have their voices heard by software producers, and enable those that create and deploy software to do so more profitably,” said Turner. “ClickSight will enable them to survey the real behavior of thousands of users with clarity and efficiency never before achieved.”

ClickStream Technologies aims to advance existing market research techniques with customized Internet-based technologies that embrace both quantitative and qualitative strategies. Its innovative ClickSight technology was conceived by Turner and a team of classmates at Oxford University, where he completed his MBA, after spending eight years at Microsoft conducting data analysis. ClickStream Technologies is based in Berkeley, California, a city that provides a unique business environment combining technology, academia and a focus on individuality.
